Grand Canyon National Park: May 2016
Time: 15 Hours
Easiest way to see 2 national parks and 3 states in one day:
Fly into Las Vegas. Rent a car from the airport.
Stay the night in Vegas. Have some fun.
Wake up early and drive to St. George, Utah.
Zion National Park contains my favorite American view of all time, Angel's Landing. The hike took me roughly 5 hours and it is extremely strenuous.
After hiking Angel's Landing trek back to your car. Make sure to take advantage of Zion's public transportation system.
Once back at the rental car, drive to Grand Canyon National Park. The drive is long, and makes for an even longer day, but it is worth it.
I had reserved a room for the night at the Grand Canyon Lodge and it is directly in the center of the park, near tons of viewing points.
Go to sleep early since you had a long day.
After waking up you can take your rental car and drive to countless viewpoints that rim the Grand Canyon. All of the viewpoints are pretty similar and give off the same spectacular view.
After hiking and appreciating one of the world's magic wonders hop back into your car for the four hour haul to Las Vegas.
Here you can spend more time in Vegas or you can never stop like me, have a good night's sleep, then continue on to Death Valley National Park in California.
