Grand Cayman

My first experience in Grand Cayman was not the best. I was on a cruise and looking forward to Cayman more than my other stops. Upon arriving in Grand Cayman, my Stingray City excursion was cancelled due to strong winds. We did not have a back up plan for the day so we ended up on Seven Mile Beach, and it was alright. The beach itself was packed, but we walked along the beach for 10 minutes and found a very quiet area. The water was clear, but nothing outstanding.

My third experience in Grand Cayman was AMAZING. I finally got to participate in the stingray excursion that I had been trying to do for over a year. Stingray City Sandbar is in the middle of the ocean and the water is absolutely breathtaking. The water is about 3-4 feet deep at max and stingrays are wildly roaming the area. In my excursion I was able to hold, feed, swim, and pet the massive sea creatures. I would do this again in a heartbeat. The stingrays were definitely worth the wait. The excursion was roughly two and a half hours and was only $50 per person. Again, my visit was part of a cruise so I did not have to worry about hotels on this island.
